Independent: The student reads a text on his/her own
Shared: The class reads together and follows along with their own copy of the text.
Guided: A small group reads and discusses a text with the teacher.
Read Aloud: The teacher reads the text to the students.
Buddy: A student reads a text with another student.
The benefits of reading are many. Here are a few:

Reading is an activity that should be done at school and at home. Encourage your children to read on a regular basis. Find out what they like. Reading together = great bonding time.
Maybe your class could help make some suggestions as to what books we should be looking to purchase for next year, they look like they know books!
